Despite the global economic slowdown, the demand for electricity is constantly increasing, and the development of renewable energy sources (RES) industry is becoming more extensive and relevant in today’s energy balance.

Since 2013 the Concept for the transition of the republic to “green economy” has been successfully implemented in Kazakhstan, which provides the increase of the share of wind and solar power and thus, a number of organizational and financial barriers existed for the introduction of RES have already been eliminated in the legislation. The country is preparing to host “EXPO-2017”, which has the “energy of the future” theme. New plants and factories that will produce components for renewable energy sources have been built.

Quite inexpensive uranium production and the policy on lower rates of carbon energy speak in favor of the nuclear energy development in Kazakhstan, the country needs new energy sources - nuclear power stations that should be absolutely safe.
